Okay, so I have been away for a while creating - or better yet, redefining - my companies (stand up leadership and stand up community/formerly moms4teens). What I have come to accept in my mission in life is: 1) My strength lies in business creation, transition, follow-through, and accountability and 2) My passion as an advocate to children, employees, and athletes gives me joy.

From this point, all I want from my clients and future clients is to accept their position in their life (good, bad, or indifferent) and declare "no more" that they will stand for status quo.

With that said (boy is this becoming a phrase for me), I have seen many personality assessments that just aren't up to par with the Winslow Behavior Assessment (the ONLY assessment to date that is EEOC Compliant). This assessment isn't a tool for labeling an individual, it is a system to begin the personal and professional growth of individuals ready to make a difference in their lives.

OMG.. Women's Soccer Vilian Caught On Tape

Are you SERIOUS? Emotions flare and soar during sporting events each and every day, but come on athletes. We MUST not allow our young athletes get any sort of idea that behaving like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC-pF3OHY1c) is okay.

As I posted below, the coach who suspended the player for sucker punching an opponent is teaching other athletes "no tolerance" - what is the coach doing today with this player? Playoffs or not, she MUST be suspended and receive mental toughness coaching prior to getting back on the field. What are we teaching our children if we do not do something about these types of vicious acts?

I am so proud of the head football coach, finally, who suspended Blount for sucker punching a Boise State player after Oregon's loss. This reaction just goes to show you that physical endurance ONLY is not going to make the grade in college and professional sports any longer. Players and their coaches must go through behavior preparedness to further the athlete's athletic performance.

HOW can we ever move into a world where each of us is BEING themselves when the already bone-thin models aren't thin enough. The picture is so disgusting! She looks like those dolls (the BRATZ) where her head is large and her airbrushed body is remotely thin and frail. If you want to look like you are just about dead... go ahead girls attempt a shape like that!

We must fight against the rights of companies to promote something other than what they take a picture of. Okay, I must stop there or I will write things I may regret later. :)

Parents Unite!

I cannot believe what I am hearing about our youth today.

Our young girls and boys find that the media's representation of love, friendship, etc is mainstream. Where are the parents in this process. Parents, we must communicate more with our children. I know, "if I get my son or daughter to respect their peers, there will be other children who don't so why bother." I am not sure what to even say about that.

If you wash your hands of a situation because you don't want to deal with it or don't feel it will matter, you are creating the outcome yourself. Simply put (Jack Canfield's E + R = Outcome)! you have the responsibility to deal with the teaching and respect in your backyard.

As for those other young children and their parents' -- we really need to open our eyes, hearts, and mind and stop driving with our eyes closed!

Vegas - Life's Passions Summit

Here I am at the Caesar's Palace, watching the USA men lose to Costa Rica (let's not get started on the ref issue) and eating sushi. Without my girls and husband, the trip wasn't as exciting, but I am here and ready to grow and develop - walk me through it Baeth Davis!

Chedk out the clouds. It was wonderful to see and feel. The summer storms - I miss them. I experienced a few duirng my dad's baseball days.

Manny Ramirez - why do we care?

Hello everyone!

I am in a different mindset than usual at the moment. I am wondering why fans continue to follow celebrities (movie stars, television stars and athletes) when the celebrities have fallen to "the dark side?" These "stars" are paid enormous amounts of money to do what they love to do, yet they misuse their celebrity status and let their fans down!!

"Girly Manny" (I love that headline) juices and is suspended for 50 games (let's not forget the lies he told when he was caught) and the NEXT DAY at the ballpark, fans were holding up signs in support for their hero. What am I missing here people?

With my passion for guiding people toward a life of leadership and devotion to service, this makes me really mad; and yes, "sick!"

Manny better count his blessings that he is not dealing with the wrath of Preston Gomez (rest his soul) at this moment. Preston who worked with the Dodgers and Angels, held the players and front office staff to a high standard. One that we should all hold ourselves to.

Hello everyone, it has been quite some time since I last wrote - or does it just feel like quite some time?

I would like to acknowledge our country's leader!

Obama is the kind of leader our country, cities, communities, families need. He focuses on the end result and uses the "how to get there" approach. What I mean by this is, Obama and his family find the health of our planet Earth relying on each individual member doing their part to slow down the global warming process. Planting seems to be the theme running in the Obama household - oh wait, The White House. Obama was seen planting, digging and placing, a tree. Remember Michelle Obama planting a vegitable garden on the White House grounds?

If they can do it, we can do it. YES I CAN!!

I am going to run out and get a pot to plant basil and rosemary right now, or maybe this weekend. No kidding, I really will start building that green thumb.

What type of leader will you be? I choose and have always chosen to have the "team means all of us." attitude rather than, "hey team, you aren't running hard or fast enough."

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Here in Southern California we had beautiful weather, creating a wonderful wake-up to Spring and Easter with my family and friends.

Spring brings new joys and new life to things that needed rebirth. With that said, I am grateful everyday for my personal and professional growth with the help of Jack Canfield's Coaching Program. I am committed to recreating my life's passion for coaching and committed to lead my clients through their own journey; to welcome their gift/passion in their rebirth as well.

I am so glad to have finally found my passion, coaching people to lead themself -- both personally and professionally -- gives me joy.

Additionally, I am happy our new President showed great leadership in recapturing our U.S. Navy CAPT. We are thirsty for this type of leadership in our everyday lives. I am committed to finding those leaders and help them see their gift to themselves and their associates.

Leaders make choices, some choices are difficult and unpopular, but leaders make those decisions because they choose to make a difference in the lives around them. Managers, well they manage their own lives, departments, employees. As an employee, which characteristic do you want your boss to have? I personally did not enjoy working for managers because they were in-it-to-win-it, rather than in-it-to-build it.

Managers you just continue to manage! Those small few who motivate and encourage others to do great things and move beyond their comfort zone to find their greatness take over our companies now! The auto industry and lending companies need someone like you. We have made a paradigm shift from antiquated management behaviors to fresh, new ideas and strategies to lead our companies and our country to financial greatness.

As tragedy strikes family and friends, we are reminded that we "shouldn't sweat the small stuff," or that "life is short."

One of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's pitchers, Nick Adenhart, was killed early this morning by a man who made a choice to drink and get behind the wheel of a car even though his license was expired (due to drinking and driving) plus numerous other DUI's. Whatever happened to taking responsibility of your actions? How could he or his friends let him get away with this? This man will now face the wrath of the judicial system, his family and friends and the entire MLB family.

We can no longer step back and tell ourselves, "I shouldn't have done that, it was a bad decision." We must STAND UP and take responsibility of our decisions and we must STAND UP and lead ourselves to make the right choices.

We all must step back and begin to look at our own lives. Could this have happened to you? Begin TODAY leading YOU and only YOU. I continue to tell people, "you are the only YOU you've got." Nick and his family will never know the true greatness his future held because of a man who "needed" to get behind the wheel. Take control man! Lead YOU!

Children who excel

Hello all,
On a personal note, my 4 year-old daughter excels in the classroom and loves music and dance. She loves her piano class and dance class, yet she never wants to go. I am not sure what to do, if anything!?! Okay, time to let go and allow her a bit of freedom!

On a business note, Stand Up Leadership is preparing two conferences in late 2009, one will be a Leadership Conference and the other will be a Women's Conference.

Well, it is official. We have very few "true leaders" running our companies. These companies have an affect on our everyday lives. Leadership skills and behaviors within companies must be remodeled and remolded NOW!

Do you trust American leaders: government officials, heads of large corporations? Do you trust the financial institutions that bankrupt so many hard working, kind American individuals?

The lack of trust you felt about the CEOs and Presidents of Wall Street and the Auto Industry are warranted! For over 10 years, people, American citizens, dads, moms, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters, have been taking your hard earned cash for extreme profit. Prices of goods and services have skyrocketed, yet your paycheck remained the same. Cost of living increased as your paychech remained the same. Now we find out that many of the "leaders" in our government, along with the auto industry and bank CEOs and heads of Wall Street worked together for a personal profit.

The trust the American people have in the "old school" leadership is lacking. It is time to be a leader, a "new' leader with current ideas, people can all look up to. Stand up and take charge of your leadership skills today! Build trust and respect from your employees, friends, family.
