OMG.. Women's Soccer Vilian Caught On Tape

Are you SERIOUS? Emotions flare and soar during sporting events each and every day, but come on athletes. We MUST not allow our young athletes get any sort of idea that behaving like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC-pF3OHY1c) is okay.

As I posted below, the coach who suspended the player for sucker punching an opponent is teaching other athletes "no tolerance" - what is the coach doing today with this player? Playoffs or not, she MUST be suspended and receive mental toughness coaching prior to getting back on the field. What are we teaching our children if we do not do something about these types of vicious acts?

LaGarrett Blount's Suspension

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4446898
I am so proud of the head football coach, finally, who suspended Blount for sucker punching a Boise State player after Oregon's loss. This reaction just goes to show you that physical endurance ONLY is not going to make the grade in college and professional sports any longer. Players and their coaches must go through behavior preparedness to further the athlete's athletic performance.

PLAY SMART & improve who YOU ARE! Skill will only get you so far my young friends. Being smart on and off the field/court will bring you the riches you deserve.

Athletic Excellence includes Mental Readiness

According to the Athletic Insight - The Online Journey of Sport Psychology most coaches and athletes neglect improving their psychological readiness skills, which hinders the athlete's ability to excel to the highest level and sustain that excellence. http://www.athleticinsight.com/

If coaches are serious about improving their athletes and helping the athlete improve, they would hire a mental readiness athletic coach. SERIOUSLY!
