Manny Ramirez - why do we care?

Hello everyone!

I am in a different mindset than usual at the moment. I am wondering why fans continue to follow celebrities (movie stars, television stars and athletes) when the celebrities have fallen to "the dark side?" These "stars" are paid enormous amounts of money to do what they love to do, yet they misuse their celebrity status and let their fans down!!

"Girly Manny" (I love that headline) juices and is suspended for 50 games (let's not forget the lies he told when he was caught) and the NEXT DAY at the ballpark, fans were holding up signs in support for their hero. What am I missing here people?

With my passion for guiding people toward a life of leadership and devotion to service, this makes me really mad; and yes, "sick!"

Manny better count his blessings that he is not dealing with the wrath of Preston Gomez (rest his soul) at this moment. Preston who worked with the Dodgers and Angels, held the players and front office staff to a high standard. One that we should all hold ourselves to.
